Getting buyers to activate their account and use your app is the best way to provide high-touch communication and for them to follow along on the homebuilding journey.
This guide outlines the steps to invite buyers to their personalized Builder app and portal, ensuring a smooth home buying experience.
Invite Buyers (from individual property)
In order to invite a buyer, a new transaction needs to be created for the property.
Locate the property
Search for the property you want to add the buyer to
Navigate to the People tab
Select Buyers to view the list of buyers associated with the property
Invite the buyer
Hover over their name and click on the ellipsis button (...)
Add the buyer if they are not already on the list
Check invitation status
Look for a mail icon with an exclamation point next to the buyer's name to confirm they have not yet been invited. You can resend the invite if they are already invited.
Send invitation
Click 'Invite' to send an invitation to the buyer.
Invite Buyers (from people tab)
Find the buyer
Click on the People tab then Buyers
Send the invitation
Click on the ellipsis (...) of the buyer and click Invite
Key Notes
The system will automatically email the buyer a unique link to set up their password and log into the portal
After sending the invitation, the status will update to 'Invitations sent'.
This allows you to easily track who has been invited.
If needed, you can resend the invitation by clicking the ellipsis again.
Alternatively, copy the link to send it directly via text or email.
