Warranty events — such as walkthroughs, inspections, or repair appointments — can be scheduled directly from a Service Request in WarrantyOS. Once scheduled, the event appears on your team's warranty calendar and the homeowner is notified.
Steps
Open the Service Request
From the Service Requests tab, click the relevant request.
Locate the Schedule section
In the right-hand panel of the Service Request, find the Schedule section and click “Add”.
Fill in the event details
Event name → To identify the event
Date and time → Set the date and time for the appointment
Description → Add any relevant context or instructions for the homeowner
Choose if you want to notify the buyer
By default, the checkbox will be checked, so the buyer automatically receives a push notification, an email confirmation, and an Action Item in their app. Make sure to uncheck it if you don’t want to notify the buyer using these features.
Save
Click “Create new”
The event is now saved and will appear in your team's Schedule view.
Key Notes
When Notify Buyer is checked, the homeowner automatically receives a push notification, an email confirmation, and an Action Item in their app.
If Notify Buyer is not checked, the event will not be visible to the homeowner.
After scheduling, it's good practice to send the homeowner a message through WarrantyOS to confirm the appointment and provide a point of contact.
