People Tab

Updated yesterday

People Tab is your central directory for managing every individual involved in your projects. By organizing your internal team, buyers, and external professional contacts into distinct categories, OPERATOR provides a powerful framework to streamline communication, clarify roles, and enhance collaboration across the board. Proper management of this section ensures that every stakeholder has the right information and access, which is fundamental to delivering a seamless, transparent buyer experience.

Teams

The Teams section is where you manage all internal users within your organization. These are the sales agents, construction managers, closing coordinators, and other staff who actively work within the OPERATOR platform.

  • Purpose: To build a comprehensive directory of your internal staff, define their roles, and manage their access to properties and communities. A well-maintained team list ensures that buyers can easily identify their points of contact.

  • Functionality:

    • Add and Edit Members: Easily add new team members by providing their name, email, role, and title. You can also edit existing profiles to keep information current.

    • Assign to Properties: Connect team members to specific properties, giving them the necessary visibility and permissions to manage their assigned projects. This ensures a focused workflow and provides buyers with a clear directory of their dedicated builder team.

    • Set Primary Contact: For any given property, you can designate one team member as the primary contact, making it clear to the buyer who their main point of contact is.

Buyers

The Buyers section contains a master list of all homebuyers across all your properties. This view provides a high-level summary of every customer you are actively engaged with.

  • Purpose: To manage all homebuyer information and their access to the branded Buyer Portal. This is the core of the buyer-centric communication model, enabling personalized and direct engagement.

  • Functionality:

    • Add and Invite Buyers: When creating a new transaction, you can add buyers to a property. From this section, you can send them an invitation to the Buyer Portal, giving them access to their home's progress.

    • View Buyer Details: Access contact information and see which properties are associated with each buyer.

    • Manage Portal Access: Control the buyer's journey by ensuring they are connected to the correct property and have received their portal invitation.

Contacts

The Contacts section is your address book for external professional partners who are involved in the transaction process but are not internal team members. This typically includes loan officers, title agents, and insurance providers.

  • Purpose: To maintain a directory of trusted external partners and easily associate them with specific transactions. This gives buyers a complete list of everyone involved in their home purchase, centralizing all key contacts in one place.

  • Functionality:

    • Create a Contact List: Add professional contacts by entering their name, company, and contact details. This creates a reusable list of partners you frequently work with.

    • Assign to Properties: Link contacts to specific properties to build out the full transaction team. While these contacts do not get access to OPERATOR, their details are displayed in the Buyer Portal, empowering buyers with the information they need.

How Teams, Buyers, and Contacts Interconnect

The true power of the People Tab lies in how these three sections work together to create a unified and transparent experience for the homebuyer.

Practical Example:

  1. A home on Lot 42 goes under contract.

  2. You navigate to the People tab and ensure the sales agent and construction manager from your Team are assigned to the property.

  3. You add the new Buyers to the transaction and send them an invite to the Buyer Portal.

  4. You also associate a preferred loan officer from your Contacts list with the property.

  5. When the buyer logs into their portal, they see a complete team directory: the sales agent and construction manager from your team are listed as their key points of contact, and the loan officer's information is readily available.

This interconnected structure eliminates confusion, reduces repetitive questions, and empowers buyers with the confidence that they have a dedicated team supporting them.
